East Lyme Grace Trail® at Samuel M. Peretz Park at Bridebrook

Born from One Resident’s Hope, Now a Path for Many

Welcome to the East Lyme Grace Trail—a 0.8-mile, self-guided walking path designed to inspire mindfulness, reflection, and connection. Located at Samuel M. Peretz Park at Bridebrook, this trail winds through a lively town green filled with activity, sports, and community energy.

What makes this Grace Trail unique is its local heart: it was brought to life by East Lyme resident Rachel Baer, with support from her husband Dave Baer, East Lyme Parks and Recreation, generous community members, and in honor of the Brian Dagle Foundation.

Mindfulness Tools for All Ages

This custom Grace Trail® features QR-coded audio messages from Anne Jolles, creator of the original Grace Trail, enriching the walk with thoughtful prompts to help navigate life’s twists and turns. Rachel also added two Little Free Libraries—one at adult height, one for children—along with sturdy benches, creating a space that welcomes individuals and families alike.

Licensed through Grace Trail, Inc., the East Lyme Grace Trail offers a meaningful walk for all ages, combining the beauty of nature with intentional mental wellness.

Gratitude makes the world a kinder, a better place to live. I would rather mix with grateful people than those that are constantly critical & complaining about their world. We all know someone that looks for what wrong in their world, let’s be change makers & look for what is going right & show our gratitude.
